On Thursday, July 28 from 6:30-7:30pm, the Speculations Readings Series presents a discussion: “Dark Descents, Ascending Wonders: The Worlds of Speculative Fiction” featuring DAVID G. HARTWELL, LYDA MOREHOUSE (aka TATE HALLAWAY), and JOHN CALVIN REZMERSKI. See the Diversicon 19 Guests page for more about these three authors. The event will take place at DreamHaven Books, 2301 E. 38th St., Minneapolis.

Diversicon 19 is next weekend, folks! It will be held on July 29-31, 2011. My honored co-guests are: David G. Hartwell (senior editor, Tor books) and John C. Rezmerski (poet extraordinaire). The posthumous guests of honor are C.L. Moore and Vincent Price. The convention will be held at Best Western—Bandana Square, 1010 W Bandana Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55108-5107.(651) 647-1637.
