HISTORY OF THE LIFE OF MRS. MARGARET JOHNSON--

Sterling Evening Gazette--Saturday, February 8, 1913

The remain of Mrs. Margaret Johnson will be taken to Morrison on either Sunday or Monday for burial. A short service will occur at the grave.

Margaret Still was born Sept. 28, 1832, and was eighty years old at the time of her death. The family moved to Fulton about 1850 and there Miss Still met and married Abram Johnson, one of the pioneers in this section of the county. The deceased is survived by a brother and sister, and two sons and a daughter. She has a sister, Mrs. Mary Libby, in Kansas City, and a brother, David Still in Santa Monica, Cal.

Of the children, one son, Curtis, resides in Prescott, Iowa, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Smith, in Waddam's Grove, Ill., and another son Milford at Sterling. Mrs. Frank Kramer of Morrison is a niece.

Mrs. Johnson fell and broke her hip on New Year's Day, and has been failing steadily every since. She left Morrison for the home about last June.

She was a member of the Universalist church all her life, and was an active worker in the church while she resided in this city. She leaves numerous friends here who will deeply mourn her demise.
