Sterling, Illinois, June 8.-Funeral services for Mrs. Milford Johnson, 70, who died at 3 a.m. today at Sterling Public hospital after an illness of two weeks, will b held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the home, 408 11th Avenue. The Rev. C. L. Brooks, pastor of Christian church, will officiate and burial will be in Grove Hill cemetery at Morrison. The body will be at the Melvin funeral home until Saturday morning, when it will be taken to the home.
The former Blanche Mason, she was born Feb. 22, 1869, at Genesse Grove, west of Coleta. She was married to Milford Johnson at Morrison in February, 1890, and they would have observed their golden anniversary next year. They resided in Morrison for several years before moving to Wisconsin, and then returned to a farm near Prairieville, which they operated prior to moving to this city about 30 years ago.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Mason P. Johnson, Big Fork, Minn., and LaRue, of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Rea Kreider, Sterling; a sister, Mrs. Belle Royer, and two brothers, Floyd Mason, Aden, Ill., and A. H. Mason, Blanca, Colo., and six grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
