o        Shared ministry systems model

o        The gift of motivational styles: implications for shared ministry

o        Ministry position descriptions: why and how

o        A theology of shared ministry

o        Support systems for volunteer ministers: applying motivational theory

o        Recruitment: a process of discovery and invitation

 

 

DAY 2: ( 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

 

o        Interviewing – a tool for invitation and matching; types, sample questions

o        Designing ministry opportunities with emerging trends in mind

o        Training: types and tips, assessing training needs

o        Staffing committees

o        Managing data: why, how, myths, challenges, types of data

 

 

DAY 3:  (9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)

 

o        Supervising: assumptions and challenges; beliefs and attitudes; practicing supervisory interviews

o        Building relationships with staff and volunteer leaders

o        Evaluating: forms and uses; exit interviews, can volunteers be “fired”?

o        Managing risks: guidelines for risk management in shared ministry; models, strategies

o        Planning time with consultant assistance available

o        Sharing of plans

o        Closing prayer service
