According to
the Bible, the universe did not cause itself.
Hebrews 11:3 says:
3By faith we understand
that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not
made out of what was visible.
·
Today scientists
agree that a causal agent operating from beyond or outside of matter, energy,
space, and time created it.
·
While some
claim that the big bang was the first cause, other scientists are hesitant to
say.
·
Scholars
agree though that time is a dimension or realm in which cause and effect
phenomena occur, which effects always following their causes.
·
They also agree that apart from time, cause
and effect phenomena anywhere in the universe cannot occur.
·
In other
words, time is integral to the operation of cause and effect.
·
Time appears
to be strongly linked with, or defined by, the second law of thermodynamics the
law of continuously increasing entropy or decay.
·
The universe
did not come from anything detectable…researchers can detect matter, energy,
and all space-time dimensions associated with them.
Hebrews 11:1-3 says:
1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and
certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients
were commended for.
3By faith we
understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen
was not made out of what was visible.

The creator
is said to have produced the detectable universe from which cannot by humans
means, be detected.
·
Among the
“holy books” of the world’s major religions, this idea is coherent form is unique to the Bible.
·
Because
humans are trapped in time, where time is linear and cannot be halted or
reveres, the idea that anything could exist “before” time defies imagination.
·
Yet both the
Old and New Testaments uniquely among pre modern texts, refer to God’s
activities “before the beginning of time”
·
From a
scientific standpoint, the discovery that the universe had a beginning was a
remarkable achievement.
·
Abundant
observations verify that the universe started off infinitesimally small.
·
Einstein’s
general relativity theory established relationships between matter and space –
time and between energy and space – time.
·
Therefore, if
all the matter and energy in the Universe once existed within an infinitesimal
volume, it follows that all space time similarity was squished within and
infinitesimal volume.
·
In 1970
British physicists Stephan Hawking and Roger Penrose published the first space
– time theorem of general relativity.
·
Basing their
work on only two major assumptions, Hawking and Penrose proved the cosmic
beginning was not just the beginning of matter and energy but the beginning of
space time as well.
·
In other
words, space and time were created when the universe began.
·
Roger Penrose
says, “This finding makes Einstein’s general relativity in this particular
sense, the most accurately tested theory known to science.
·
Given that
space and time came into existence at the cosmic creation event, we can know
something about where the universe came from.
·
It must have
arisen from “realm” or “entity” beyond space and time.
·
The universe
could not possibly have arisen from matter, energy and/ or any of the space
time dimensions associated with them, either existing or previously existing.
1) SCIENCE CONFORMS THAT
THE UNIVERSE WAS (CAUSED) BY SOMEONE OR SOMETHING (OUTSIDE) OF ITSELF BECAUSE
TIME AND SPACE WERE CREATED WHEN THE UNIVERSE BEGAN…EVERY (EFFECT) CAN BE LINKED
TO A FIRST (CAUSE). Genesis 1:1-12
Genesis 1:1-12 (pg. 1)
says:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the
earth.
2 Now the
earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the
surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God
said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4
God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he
called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the
first day.
6 And God
said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from
water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the
water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was
evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 And God
said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry
ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the
dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called
"seas." And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God
said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on
the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various
kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced
vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing
fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

EVERY EFFECT
IS GENERATED BY A CAUSE –
·
NOTE: Science
agrees that absolute nothingness – the complete lack of anything and everything
cannot be a cause or causal agent.
·
That is ruled
out by definition and also be observation.
·
If absolute
nothingness could spontaneously produce something scientists would see new
something’s arising everywhere.
·
Instead
Scientist see the consistent operation of the first
law of thermodynamics, which says the total amount of matter and energy within
the Universe can neither be increased or decreased.
·
Astronomers’ observations
of the Universe’s past, test of general relativity’s reliability, and
conformations of space – time theorems combine to establish that the Universe
was brought into existence by a casual Agent with the capacity to operate
before, beyond, unlimited by, and transcendent to all cosmic matter, energy
space, and time.
·
In coming to
these conclusions, the scientific community has confirmed, beyond reasonable
doubt the biblical description of the creation of the universe IN THAT AN
OUTSIDE CAUSE BROUGHT IT INTO BEING.
2) SCIENCE HAS CONFORMED
THAT THE EARTH’S (ATMOSPHERE) WAS ORIGINALLY (OPAGUE). Genesis 2:1-2, Job
38:9-10

The focus of
the passage shifts in the very next verse, which zeros in on Earth’s surface
and describes its initial conditions.
·
Genesis 1:2
also records that under hostile early conditions the Spirit of God “hovered” or
“brooded” over the waters.
·
The Bible
says that God is eternal and existed before the creation of the Universe.
Job 38:5-12 (pg. 380)
says:
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone-
7 while the
morning stars sang together
and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?
8 "Who
shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
9 when I
made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,

fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,

here is where your proud waves halt'?

explains the reason for the darkness on Earth’s surface.

An opaque
cloud cover acted a blanket, preventing ay light from the Sun, Moon, and stars
from reaching Earth’s surface.

RECENT
SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES NOW AFFIRM THESE BIBLICAL DEPICTIONS OF EARTH”S AND LIFE
EARLY HISTORY.
NOTE: In the 1910’s,
planetary astronomy confirmed that Earth’s primordial atmosphere was indeed
initially opaque.

Then through
an amazing set of circumstances it changed.
NOTE: Research into the
moons origin indicates that a Mars sized planet collided with Earth at just the
right angle and speed to turn Earth’s initial ocean into superheated steam,
which blew away nearly all the earth’s original atmosphere.
·
With the
subsiding of asteroid and comet collision events over the next several hundred
billion years, Earth’s atmosphere became translucent.
·
THIS OUTCOME
IS CONSISTENT WITH THE “LET THERE BE LIGHT” OF THE FIRST CREATION DAY IN
GENESIS 1:3
3) SCIENCE CONFIRMS THAT (MARINE)
LIFE ON EARTH (FIRST) PRECEDED THE REST OF CREATION. Genesis 1:20-28
Genesis 1:20-28 (pg. 1)
says:
20 And God
said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above
the earth across the expanse of the sky." 21 So God
created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with
which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird
according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22
God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill
the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
24 And God
said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds:
livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each
according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made
the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their
kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their
kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God
said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule
over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all
the earth, [a] and over all the creatures that move along
the ground."
27 So God
created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill
the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air
and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

With light,
rain and land available, new life forms began to take hold.
NOTE: Scientist agree that
the Genesis account has the correct chronological sequence…the fossil record
shows that Marine life that swam was first….then birds that flew….then animals
that walked on the ground.
·
Those new
life forms paved the way for advanced life.
·
·
They also
contributed to dramatic changes in life’s home: the transformation of Earth’s
atmosphere from permanently overcast to transparently clear, at least some of
time, and the pumping of enough oxygen into Earth’s atmosphere to support large
– bodied complex animal life.
·
With the sun,
Moon, and stars now visible to surface life, certain biological clocks could
begin to regulate animal life, informing complex creatures when to feed,
migrate, and reproduce.
·
With these
inner clock mechanisms in lace and a large boost in the amount of atmospheric
oxygen, the stage was set for a swarm of sea creatures to burst on the scene.
Genesis
20 And God
said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above
the earth across the expanse of the sky."

PERFECTLY MATCHES THE FOSSIL RECORD. Genesis 1:20-21
·
With respect
to advanced life, the text in Genesis 1:20-21 first mentions birds and sea
mammals and then, without indication of when God created the first land
mammals, goes on in Genesis 1:24-25 to introduce three specific kinds of land
mammals “living creatures” or mammals that “move along the ground”, “wild
animals or mammals that are difficult to tame, and livestock or long horned
animals easy to tame. Last of all, The Bible describes the creation of animals.
4) SCIENCE CONFORMS THAT
MOTHER NATURE (GOD) CREATED AND THEN (HE) (STOPPED) AND (RESTED). Genesis 2:1-3
Genesis 2:1-3 (pg. 2)
says:
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all
their vast array.
2 By the
seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day
he rested [a] from all his work. 3
And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from
all the work of creating that he had done.
NOTE: God’s cessation
from creation during the human era helps explain a perplexing enigma. The
fossil record reveals a turnaround in speciation with the appearance of humans.
·
Before
humans, new species came on the scene at the rate of about one per year, on average.
After humans appeared, the rate dropped to none a year.
·
In natural
habitats undisturbed by human activity, biologists have yet to observe the
production of even one distinctively new animal species (without
interbreeding).
·
Meanwhile,
extinctions continue, even apart from human environmental abuse.
·
The Bible
offers an explanation for this puzzling feature of the fossil record: “for six
days God created; on the seventh day (the human era) God rests”.
·
Human species
is traceable back to one man and one woman who lived less than 100,000 years
ago.
5) SCIENCE CONFIRMS THAT
MAN WAS CREATED FROM (DIRT). Genesis 2:7
Genesis 2:7 (pg. 2) says:
The LORD God formed the
man [e] from the dust of the ground and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Modern
science confirms the ancient models, revealing that the alchemical elements of
fire, air and water actually represent three of the most abundant elements of
our bodies: hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen, respectively.
·
Through
studies such as IGY, we know that relatively few elements compose most of the
earth’s outer crust, including layers beneath the oceans.
·
Silicon,
oxygen, hydrogen, and aluminum account for more than 90% percent of the
composition of these four elements – hydrogen and oxygen – also account for
more than 99% of our bodies as well!
6) SCIENCE CONFIRMS THAT
MAN WAS UNIQUELY (CREATED) AND (DID) (NOT) (EVOLVE) AS ONCE THOUGHT. Genesis
1:26-28
Genesis 1:26-28 (pg. 1)
says:
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image,
in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of
the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [a] and over all the creatures that move along
the ground."
27 So God
created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful
and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the
sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the
ground."
·
In 1987,
scientist tested DNA from the body of a well preserved Neanderthal infant
presumed to be 30,000 years old.
·
The 30, 000
year old DNA was compared to that of a human body.
·
While scientists
are still reeling from the implications of the report, the study found that the
possibility of a genetic link between Neanderthal and modern humans was remote.
·
The results
suggest that “modern man was not, in fact, descended from Neanderthals.
·
Based upon a
comparison of human physiology with other primates, there is a growing body of
evidence suggesting that, as Homo sapiens, we are a unique species unto
ourselves.
·
In addition
to the DNA studies, a number of scientific journals have reported discoveries
of anomalous human remains – fully modern human skeletons – within the same
layers of earth where the earliest fossils of ancient hominids from farther
down the evolutionary ladder were discovered.
·
The physical
location of a modern skeleton within the same layers of earth as the more
ancient remains poses a problem for conventional evolution theory: If one form
of life descends from another; they cannot co-exist in the same period of time.
·
As the deeper
layers deposited first, whatever is found within them can reasonably be assumed
to be older than anything found in the shallower layers, which formed at a
later time.
·
Generally
accepted as a method of dating buried objects relative to one another, from
such procedures we can conclude that the modern-looking skeletons would have
had to lived and died during the same period of time as the more primitive
humans. If this is the case, they could not have evolved at a later time.
·
If species
do, in fact evolve with new genetic characteristics, rather than adapt over
time, then one possibly we would expect to see in the fossil record is a linear
progression from one life form to the next.
·
Instead, the
developing fossil record suggests that the species previously believed to have
evolved from one another over time appear to have lived with one another during
the same period of time, making their emergence as a linear progression less
likely.
7) SCIENCE CONFIRMS THAT
THE UNIVERSE IS (STRUCTURED) IN SUCH
Job 26:7-14 (pg. 373)
says:
7 He spreads out the northern skies over empty space;
he suspends the earth over nothing.
8 He wraps
up the waters in his clouds,
yet the clouds do not burst under their
weight.
9 He covers
the face of the full moon,
spreading his clouds over it.
10 He marks
out the horizon on the face of the waters
for a boundary between light and darkness.
11 The
pillars of the heavens quake,
aghast at his rebuke.
12 By his power
he churned up the sea;
by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.
13 By his
breath the skies became fair;
his hand pierced the gliding serpent.
14 And these
are but the outer fringe of his works;
how faint the whisper we hear of him!
Who then can understand the thunder of his
power?"

The Bible
says that one day is like a 1000 years to the Lord.
·
Scientist
believe the earth is 13.73 billion years old.
·
REASONS FOR
WAITING 13 BILLION YEARS
·
Christian and
Astronomer, Hugh Ross in his book “why the Universe is the way it is” states”
“The latest measurements indicate that the universe has been around for 13.73
years. That may seem light a long time from a layperson’s perspective, but
astronomers think otherwise.
·
From an
astronomical view, 13.73 years represents the minimum time necessary to prepare
a home for humanity. And as it turns out, the minimum time required is
essentially the same as the maximum time for at least for at least three
reasons:
1. Essential heavy
elements need to build up.
·
For its first
365 million years, the universe contained only five elements: hydrogen, helium,
and tiny traces of lithium, beryllium and boron.
·
In addition
to hydrogen and boron, life requires over twenty different elements heavier
than boron.
·
These
elements include carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium and
iron. But the big bang creation event yielded none of them.
·
Manufactured
exclusively in the nuclear furnaces of stars, these elements built of
gradually.
·
The Universe
didn’t contain the variety and concentrations of heavy elements necessary to
make planets and advanced life possible until after three generations of stars
formed, burned and scattered their ashes into interstellar medium.
2. Long lived radio
active isotopes need to build up.
3. Dangerous events must
subside.
·
The same
supernovae so crucial for building up the heavy elements and radiometric
isotopes essential for advanced life also shower their environs with deadly
radiation.
·
Consequently
advanced life could not be safely introduced until the rate of supernova eruptions
in the Milky Way Galaxy has subsided considerably.
·
Bacterial
life didn’t need to wait so long, however because it can survive under much
harder radiation conditions.
·
Thought a
planet suitable for life’s survival could be assembled within 9.2 billion years
after the Cosmic Creation event known as the big Bang, nearly another billion
years would be required to prepare the planet for primitive life.
·
Beyond that
time, it took another 3.5 million years for the supernova eruptions, dense
molecular clouds, gamma ray bursts, and galaxy merging events as well as other
dangerous conditions to subside enough for advanced life and civilization to
survive and thrive.
·
The suns
stability – the flaring of the sun subsided to a minimum level when the sun
reached about 4.5-4.6 billion years of age. So advanced life and civilization
would not have been viable until then.
·
An adequate
level of brightness to sustain life was not reached until the Sun was about 4.5
to 4.6 billion years old.
The bombardment Subsidence
–
·
During the
solar system’s youth, it was filled with an enormous abundance of asteroids,
comets, rocks and dust.
·
The material
once pelted the Earth with great frequency and intensity. These bombardment
events made the planet inhospitable to advanced life for a few billion years.
·
Bombardments
also yielded some positive benefits for advanced life. They provided fresh supplies of water to
replace that lost to outer space.
·
They also
salted the earth’s surface with valuable mineral deposits.
The Earth’s
transformation
·
Advanced life
on earth needs a rotation rate very close to twenty fours hours a day.
·
Tidal
interaction with the moon and the Sun has steadily reduced Earth’s rotation
rate from its initial two or three hours per day down to its current twenty
four.
·
It has taken
4.5 billion years of tidal interaction to accomplish this reduction.
·
In addition,
advanced life needs lots of free oxygen in its planetary atmosphere.
·
For such
oxygen to accumulate to the required level, a huge abundance of photosynthetic
life had to work aggressively to pump out enough oxygen to fill oxygen sinks
which are oxygen absorbing material in both Earth crust and mantle.
·
Oxygen also had to reap appropriate levels in
the Earth’s atmosphere. It took about 3.8 billion years to raise the
atmospheric oxygen level from less than 1 percent to its present 21 percent.
·
Many more
reasons than these mandate that 4.5 to 4.6 billion years was necessary
preparation period before the earth was ready to receive the human species.
·
Earth started
off as a water world – a planet with water covering the whole of its surface.
For the first billion years, small islands appeared and disappeared.
Subsequently, aggressive plate tectonics cause continents to grow at a
significantly faster rate that the rate at which erosion forces wore then down.
·
Today,
continents and islands cover 29 percent of the total surface area of the earth.
·
It took
billions of years for cosmic expansion to push the bright lights of the
Universe far enough apart for optimal visibility.
·
Those lights
are various galaxies in the Virgo super cluster.
·
Second, these
lights were much brighter in the past than they are today.
·
That
intensity of light emitted by the cosmos is strongly tied to the rate of star
formation.
·
This rate
reached a peak when the Universe was about 5 to billion years old.
·
It took
additional billions years beyond that peak for the lights of the universe to
dim sufficiently so as not to impair astronomers viewing capacity.
·
Third, during
Earth’s infancy, its atmosphere was opaque to light.
·
In it youth,
the planet’s atmosphere was translucent. Only when the earth reached 4 billion
years old did the atmosphere become transparent enough to enable its
inhabitants to observe the most distant objects in the universe.
·
It takes time
for light to travel from the distant galaxies to an observer’s telescope.
·
Up to a
certain limit, the older the universe the greater the distance at which
astronomers can make observations, or the further back in time they can see.
·
Because of
the universe’s age, astronomers can directly view 99.9972 percent of cosmic
history and almost behold the instant of cosmic creation.
·
Things will
change again.
·
Two
physicist,

It will be
impossible for any physical sentient being living anywhere within the cosmos to
determine whether the Universe is expanding or has a beginning.
8) SCIENCE CONFIRMS THAT
THE ENTIRE (UNIVERSE) IS CONTINUALLY (EXPANDING). Job 9:8-10, Psalms 104:1-2, Isaiah 40:21-22

Isaiah,
Jeremiah, Job, Zechariah, and the Psalmist declare that the Universe is
expanding and had continuously expanded from the beginning.
Job 9:8-10 (pg. 364)
says:
8 He alone stretches out the heavens
and treads on the waves of the sea.
9 He is the
Maker of the Bear and Orion,
the Pleiades and the constellations of the
south.
10 He
performs wonders that cannot be fathomed,
miracles that cannot be counted.
Psalm 104:1-2 says:
1 Praise the LORD, O my soul.
O LORD my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2 He wraps
himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
Isaiah 40:21-22 (pg. 512) says:
21Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the
beginning?
Have you not understood since the earth
was founded?
22 He sits
enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a
canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live
in.
NOTE: WHEN HEAVENS IS PLURAL IT IS
REFERING TO OUTER SPACE AND NOT THE DESTINATION OF HEAVEN ITSELF.
Isaiah 42:5 says:
5 This is what God the LORD says—
he who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it,
who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it:
Isaiah 44:24 says:
24 "This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:
I am the LORD,
who has made all things,
who alone stretched out the heavens,
who spread out the earth by myself,
Isaiah 45:12 says:
12 It is I who made the earth
and created
mankind upon it.
My own hands stretched out the heavens;
I marshaled their starry hosts.
Isaiah 48:13 says:
13 My own hand laid the foundations of the earth,
and my right hand spread out the heavens;
when I summon them,
they all stand up together.
Isaiah 51:13 says:
13 that you forget the LORD your Maker,
who stretched out the heavens
and laid the foundations of the earth,
that you live in constant terror every day
because of the wrath of the oppressor,
who is bent on destruction?
For where is the wrath of the oppressor?
Jeremiah 10:12 says:
12 But God made the earth by his power;
he founded the world by his wisdom
and stretched out the heavens by his
understanding.
Jeremiah 51:15 says:
"He made the earth by his power;
he founded the world by his wisdom
and stretched out the heavens by

Jeremiah adds
the important detail that the laws of physics are fixed.
Jeremiah 33:25-29 (pg.
563) says:
25 This is what the LORD says: 'If I have not
established my covenant with day and night and the fixed laws of heaven and
earth, 26 then I will reject the descendants of Jacob
and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the
descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes [a] and have compassion on them.' "

Several Old
and New Testament passages also imply that laws governing the cosmos have not
changed.
Ecclesiastes 1:4-10 (pg.
472) says:
4 Generations come and generations go,
but the earth remains forever.
5 The sun
rises and the sun sets,
and hurries back to where it rises.
6 The wind
blows to the south
and turns to the north;
round and round it goes,
ever returning on its course.
7 All
streams flow into the sea,
yet the sea is never full.
To the place the streams come from,
there they return again.
8 All things
are wearisome,
more than one can say.
The eye never has enough of seeing,
nor the ear its fill of hearing.
9 What has
been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there
anything of which one can say,
"Look! This is something new"?

One of the
issues that scientist have had with biblical creationism for centuries is that
they say that the order of creation in Genesis 1 is out of order.
·
God says,
‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.
·
How can light
have appeared on the first day of creation when the sun, moon, and stars –
obvious sources of light in the sky – were not created until the fourth day?
·
Scientist
proclaimed the sequence is wrong; it is out of order.
·
Modern
science however has discovered that there exist a sea of quantum light known as
(the electromagnetic-point field) filling the Universe, and that light
generates a force of acceleration when you push on any material object.
·
The action of
that quantum light is what makes matter the seemingly solid, stable stuff of
which we and our world are made.
·
The dictum,
“Let there be light” is indeed a very profound statement because inertia is the
property of matter that gives it solidity; it’s what gives things substance.
·
The proposed
connection between the zero-point field and inertia, in affect suggests that
the solid, stable world of matter is sustained at every instant by the underlying
sea of quantum light.
·
Instead of an
absolute space and time filled with ether that sustains the phenomenon of
light, light becomes the fundamental thing whose propagation determines the
flow of time and the measure of distance. We can almost say that light creates
space-time.
·
I suggest
here that light, in the form of a universal electromagnetic zero point field,
also creates and sustains the world of matter that fills space-time. Thus the
words, “Let there be light,” may express more than a poetic mythology after

light”, to a scientist makes little sense.

How can light
be made on the first day of creation,” when the sun and the moon and the stars
– the obvious sources of light in the sky – were not brought into being until
the fourth day?

THE PROBLEM
THAT SCIENTIS HAVE WITH GENESIS AND THE “LET THEIR BE LIGHT” CAMP IS THAT
THINGS WERE FATALLY OUT OF ORDER.

Kabalah, and
ancient Jewish sect – the mystical branch of Judaism addresses this problem in
the “Haggahad”.

The Haggadah
says: “The light created at the very beginning is not the same as the light
emitted by the Sun, the moon, and the stars, which appeared only on the fourth
day”.

It’s almost
as if the ancient author of this text had anticipated this modern objection to
the passage in Genesis: Well of course you can’t have the light coming before
the sun, moon and stars; it’s ridiculous, and even I, writing this a zillion
years ago and still a scientific ignoramus know that. Then it says: But let me
tell you, there a different light source that has always existed.

The passage
continues:
“The light of the first
day was of the sort that would have enabled man to see the world at a glance
from one end to the other. Anticipating the wickedness of the sinful generations
of the deluge and the

As in the
passage from Genesis, light is once again implicated as a key to the creation
process itself.
·
But could
these ancient text mean anything real and substantive? Could it be anything
other than mere ancient allegory?
·
Mainstream
science traces the history of the cosmos back to a Big Bang almost fourteen
billion years ago, a theory that seems correct even among Christian Scientist
as far as it goes.
·
In my studies
for this series, I was shocked to see how may legitimate Scientist who claim to
be Christians do not have a problem with the Big Bang theory.
·
They said
over and over again that the earth is most likely billions of years old and
13.73 billion is the accepted number.
·
And most of
them did not have a problem with the big bang theory – that the universe came
into existence through a series of explosions.
·
After all
when God speaks – explosions are bound to happen.
·
The question
not addressed by the theory, however, is what caused the big Bang?
·
Where did not
primordial stuff of that explosion originate and when did time begin?
·
Some scientists
simply say that no one knows and admit that the questions lie beyond the scope
of science.
·
Others take a
stronger position, claiming that these questions are actually devoid of meaning
and as nonsensical.
·
Modern
computations show that, for the first 300,000 years after the big bang, the
universe was devoid of stable matter, but filled with electromagnetic
radiation.
·
It appears
that the ancient reference to light in Genesis and other ancient text is a
modern reference to electromagnetic fields...
·
After all, visible
light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, and the only difference between
microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, x rays, and gamma-ray
emissions is the wavelength or equivalent energy involved. All are the a form
of electromagnetic.
·
It is
therefore natural to equate the light of Genesis with the electromagnetic
radiation accompanying the primordial fireball of the Big Bang revealed by
modern computations and astrophysical observations.

THE BIBLE
SAYS THAT GOD IS LIGHT
Micah 7:8 says:

Do not gloat over me, my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will rise.
Though I sit in darkness,
the LORD will be my light.
Matthew 4:16 says:
6the people living in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death
a light has dawned."
John 9:4-5 says:
4As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who
sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5While I
am in the world, I am the light of the world."
John 9:12:44-48 says:
44Then Jesus
cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but
in the one who sent me. 45When he looks at me, he sees
the one who sent me. 46I have come into the
world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in
darkness.
NOTE: When people have died and go
to Heaven, the majority of the time they report seeing a very bright white
light – if this is true than it can be said they are seeing God, for God is
light!
Revelation 22:1-8 (pg. 879) says:
1Then the angel showed me the river of the water of
life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side
of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its
fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the
nations. 3No longer will there be any curse. The throne
of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their
foreheads. 5There will be no more night. They will not
need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give
them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. 6The
angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God
of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things
that must soon take place."

The universe
first existed as a pure divine thought. According to esoteric tradition, this
thought became actualized into a metaphysical state. That in turn, gave birth
to the physical Universe as we know it – presumably through an event like the
Big Bang.
·
Tradition is
also quite clear about the existence of an unseen realm that we call
metaphysical, supernatural, or spiritual.
·
In many esoteric
traditions like Kabbalah, light plays a central role in the creation process.
·
·
The
Kabalistic perspective on creation is interesting because, in it, the emanation
of light becomes a central element in the creation process.
·
The absolute
forms a kind of vacuum or void within itself, which the Kabalist call ayin.
·
Since this
process takes place as a precursor to creation the void is not a literal void
in the sense of empty space, as we think of a vacuum. Space itself has not been
created.
·
A kind of light
emanates out of the Absolute to fill this void. The flowing of this light
through the void activates the potential within it.
·
The
nothingness of the void, heretofore purely potential, is elevated into a
manifest reality by this divine light.
·
At the heart
of Kabalistic creation process, therefore, there is light.
·
The light of
ayin creates the realm of the relative – a universe of things that are always
defined in terms of their opposites: light and darkness, hot and cold, positive
and negative, male and female, good and evil.
·
In contrast
to the absolute realm of Ein-Sof, we now have a universe grounded in polarity.
·
Polarity is
the very basis of creation. You cannot have created things without it.
·
TO MANIFEST,
GOD THE ABSOLUTE MUST CREATE A REALM OF POLARITY.
·
Polarity is
also essential to the creation of particles in physics.
·
A photon of
sufficient energy can spontaneously transform into two particles.
·
Esoteric
traditions teach that the initial realm of the relative is not yet a physical
one, but rather a spiritual or supernatural realm of divine manifestation of
polarity.
·
Ultimately
however, the fullness of experience requires a realm of physical matter.
·
Esoteric
traditions attribute primacy to light rather than matter which is ultimately
connected to space and time.
·
Matter cannot
exist apart from space and time, and is dependent upon them.
·
Einstein’s
relativity theory also suggests that space and time are defined by the
propagation of light.
·
So the key to
creation does seem to lead back to light, in the context of both ancient
traditions and modern physics.
·
Space and
time seem to be created when you leave the reference frame of light.
·
Einstein’s
special relativity theory tells us that light propagation defines the
properties of space and time and now scientist have taken it a step further to
believe that light propagation may actually create space and time.
·
THEREFORE IS
GOD IS LIGHT LIKE THE BIBLES SAYS, THEN SCIENCE HAS DISCOVERED THAT GOD CREATES
SPACE, TIME AND MATTER.

In the fourth

that you want to project a bright red spot on the wall. One way to do it is to
manipulate a bright source of white light to remove or block all the other
colors, leaving only the red.

You can do
this with a red filter that absorbs all the other colors or with a prism as

In optics the
process of creating something involves taking something away. White light may
be bright and beautiful in it’s own right, but you can’t depict anything using
just white light alone.

A world in
which everything is precisely and perfectly white would effectively be an invisible
world. Not one you could see through, but rather one that you could look at but
still see nothing because everything would be the same, a fog of white.

In optics you
create by taking away. To create a blue sky you have to take away, the violet,
indigo, green, yellow, orange, and red.

The esoteric tradition
tells us that creation by subtraction is one of the fundamental truths
underlying reality. In other words these traditions teach that creation of the
real (the manifest) involves subtraction from the infinite potential.

The white
light is thus the source of infinite possibility and you create the desired
image by intelligent subtraction, causing the real to emerge from the possible.
By limiting the infinitely possible, you create the finitely real.
·
Scientist now
believe that the process of creation is the exact opposite of making something
out of nothing. It is on the contrary, a filtering process that makes something
out of everything.
·
Creation is
not capricious or random addition; it is intelligent and selective subtraction.
·
The
implications of this are profound. If the absolute is the Godhead that the
bible teaches, and if creation is the process by which the Godhead filters out
parts of its own infinite potential to manifest a physical reality that
supports experience, then the stuff that is left over, the residue of this
process, is our physical universe.

One of the
most Reformation creeds, the Belgic confession of 1566, makes the point:
“We know God by two
means: First, by the creation, preservation and government of the universe,
since that Universe is before our eyes like a beautiful book in which all
creatures, great and small, are the letters to make us ponder the invisible
things of God: his eternal power and his divinity”.
Romans 1:17-25 (pg. 795)
says:
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven
against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by
their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is
plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For
since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and
divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made,
so that men are without excuse.
21For
although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to
him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made
to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore
God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for
the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They
exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things
rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Corinthians 2:6-15 (pg.
807) says:
6We do, however, speak a
message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the
rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7No, we
speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God
destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the
rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have
crucified the Lord of glory. 9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"[b]— 10but God has
revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the
deep things of God. 11For who among men knows the
thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one
knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We
have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that
we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This
is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by
the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.[c] 14The man without
the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for
they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are
spiritually discerned. 15The spiritual man makes
judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's
judgment:
16"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?"[d] But we have the mind of Christ.
