Hey!

I've created this "News" page to keep visitors to my site updated on my writing news, and as well to call attention to any 'new' stuff I've recently added to the entire site.

August 24, 2006 — Hey! RHIANA won the Reviewer's Choice award from SingleTitles.com! That's so cool! I like winning an award for something I didn't have to enter in the first place; such a nice surprise. You will all want to check out the new Nocturne Authors website soon. It debuts September 1st. (I designed it, so don't get too excited. It's the best I could do, but I think it looks pretty good.) The URL is www.nocturneauthors.com And since my last post it has been announced that the Bombshell line will publish it's last books in Jan 2007. Which means my last two Bombshells are out. No flamenco-dancing assassin, nor the modern-day musketeers. I'm bummed, but it just means I have two more Nocturnes to write now, for a grand total of 5 so far.

August 14, 2006 — eHarlequin posts IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH as a free weekly online read today. Very cool. Check it out. It's free, why not? Doing much promotional mailing at the moment, and working on my next Bombshell which is currently titled Danse Macabre, but of course that will change. Not exactly a Bombshell title, and it seems some very famous writer of vampire stories has already snatched up that title. ;-)

July 12, 2006 — Been working furiously designing the website for the Nocturne authors. Now I realize my own website needs a major overhaul. Maybe by winter I'll have time. Until then, check out the Getaway Girl soundtrack with your iTunes software. Search for 'Getaway Girl Book Soundtrack' in the iMix section.

May 28, 2006 — I have joined a new blog, and we call it Riding With The Top Down. I, along with Kathleen Eagle, Betina Krahn, Anne Frasier, Lois Greiman, Helen Brennan, and possibly Lyda Morehouse and Susan Kay Law will try to entertain you, one and all. Also, I've just sold another book to Nocturne. This one will be book #1 in a four book, four author series. It's going to be fun! And you'll see it next August. Posted the cover art for FROM THE DARK; do check it out.

April 2, 2006SERAPHIM is available in stores now as a mass market paperback. I completely updated the VampList, and put up a whole new section for Hot Blood. Also, the home page for the Coloring Addicts features a bunch of my new favorites.

February 19, 2006 — Lots of info! I've just returned from a ten day trip to Paris. Got lots of research done, and now I have to go change some things in the upcoming Getaway Girl! IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH is currently available at Audible.com for free, to everyone. So there's no reason for you not to check it out. I've recently agreed to a four-book contract with Harlequin. Two books will be Bombshells, which I list on my 'books' page, and two will be for the new paranormal series, Nocturne. I've got a deadline of April 30th for the first paranormal book, so I'll be very busy. Also, am featuring a tour of authors' desks at my blog. Check out the daily 'guest desks' for a peek into an author's workspace. Fun? Certainly interesting.

November 20, 2005 — If you've noticed, I keep changing the release date for the Bombshell short I wrote for Audible.com. I was initially told August or September release date. Recently, I've heard November 18th. Still no sign of it. I'll keep you all posted! Let's hope it comes out soon, I can't wait to hear it! Not sure of the title either. My title is IN THE EVENT OF MY DEATH, but there was talk from editorial about changing it to TECHNO SAVVY. (Not a title I like, but I can live with it.)

October 30, 2005 — Tweaked the home page. Going for an uncluttered clean look, but not happy with the table borders. Will work on that. Yes, that's moi in the brown wig. Ain't I cute? Let me know if you like the new design. News is that I got cover flats for SERAPHIM, the mass market version, and those will be out in April 2006. Just in time for the release of RHIANA, which is in May.

September 1, 2005 — Updated and tweaked most of the web pages. Added some final touches to the Illustrated Supplement for FLAWLESS. Still don't have New York just right, but working on it. Added a page for the GETAWAY GIRL, which is my Fall Bombshell. My daughter did the artwork. Very cool! Added a RHIANA page as well, so you can see the cover.

August 12, 2005 — By now Once A Thief has probably been removed from 90% of bookstore shelves, stripped, and returned to make room for the August Bombshell releases. This is my first category romance so I'm a little freaked over the short shelf time! But you can still order it online. I've updated the Coloring Addicts page with some great new coloring books under the 'Favorites'. I'm about three fourths of the way finished with the Illustrated Supplement for FLAWLESS. Have added links to great blogs on my blog, so check them out. And posted a picture of the RHIANA cover at my blog as well. I suppose I should start working on an actual page for Rhiana. And the GETAWAY GIRL, which is the new tentative title for the third Bombshell I have been calling Drive.

July 1, 2005 — Look for ONCE A THIEF on book store shelves on or about July 10th. It should be available wherever the Harlequin/Silhouette romances are sold, including Targets, Walmarts, Kmarts, book store chains, and maybe even a grocery store or two.

June 24, 2005 — Tweaked the home page. Added major updates to the Coloring Addicts Pages. FourWriteChicks is a group of friends who write and have been critiquing for almost ten years. We're all published now! And we're trying, desperately, to get the blog thing going, but give us time. Almost finished writing RHIANA. Must speed into DRIVE in July, and work furiously for its due date of October 1st. (Hmm, why does the movie title Fast And Furious come to mind when I think about writing that story?) Will have news on a short story written for Audible.com soon... ;-) Also, I learned how to add pictures to my blog, so...watch out!

May 29, 2005 — I've added a work-in-progress page for my October release, FLAWLESS. It's a work in progress because not all the links and pictures have been added , and I don't expect it to be complete until the end of summer. But I wanted to get it posted because the IT GIRLS website has gone live and there will be a link to my page. IT GIRLS is the series of six books featuring New York heiresses fighting white-collar crime. FLAWLESS is book #2 in the series. Check out the cover art on the home page; each book will have a similar look as the iPod ads. Fun! Check out my blog. I'm starting a countdown for the release of ONCE A THIEF. Can't wait!

April 7, 2005GOSSAMYR hits bookshelves April 26th! And I posted a cover for ONCE A THIEF today. Nice! Exactly what I imaged the cover should look like. I've very excited for it's release!

February 26, 2005 — Revamped the Home page. Hate it. Will try something new. Soon. Made slight alterations to all other pages, including better links and not so cluttered. Must begin the FLAWLESS page, which will feature an illustrated supplement to the story. And should have a Friends page. Hmm...

January 14, 2005 — Recently updated the Ultimate VampList. Check it out. Added a page for my first Bombshell, ONCE A THIEF. Yes, I know, the front page needs updating. Waiting for inspiration. Am designing an 'illustrated supplement' for my October Bombshell. It will feature pictures, explanations, and links to props, locales and various items from the story. Cross your fingers it works out.

December 25, 2005 — Yes, I know, it's been quite a long time. Much Has Occured. Sold a story to a Bombshell continuity series in October. Have finally started to update my web site, hopefully will design a new home page, but not until after current Bombshell is complete (which won't be until Feb). I will actually have three books out in 2005 and 2 (so far) out in 2006. Yippee! Will update VampList Very Soon.

Updated iRead page and the Gossamyr book page, and added small synopsis to InProgress.

July 31, 2004 — Have added the August Contest. Help me update the Ultimate VampList by sending me a title I either do not list, or a title that I have listed, but in the wrong section. I don't have definite prizes yet, but they'll be something fun.

July 27, 2004 — Added a new section to the Ultimate VampList. Manga/Comics and Graphic Novels. Check it out here. Also, check back in August for my VampList contest! Also, updates made to lots of the Coloring pages!

July 16, 2004 — Added a blog today. Click on 'Blog' on the homepage to read the entries.

June 16, 2004 — So I'm trying something new with my home page. Going for a clean, simple look. Drop me a note and let me know if you like it (or not!). Will be adding the Upcoming and Michele (bio) page within the week. I hope.

April 28, 2004 SERAPHIM is in stores! Find it everywhere. Stop by the LUNA website during the Month of May where I will be the featured author. I will be having a few contests and giving away a bunch of goodies! Some cool extras that accompany the story, like maps, and charts, will also be featured. Chat with me on May 3rd at 8 pm Eastern on the eHarlequin community board.

And guess what? !!! I've just agreed to write two books for Harlequin's new Bombshell series. I'm very excited about this. The heroines of these stories are take-no-prisoners, kick-butt kind of ladies that don't necessarily need a man in their lives—but heck, if they respect a strong woman and know how to stay out of her way when she's in action—then let the fireworks begin. :-) Stay tuned for more info on these books as it develops.

March 11, 2004 — I'm in promotional mode for SERAPHIM, sending out postcards and organizing book signings. I'll be featuring a contest at the web site in April. Found a pretty sterling silver ring in the Avon catalog that looks like angel wings wrapped around your finger. Will also have some advance reading copies of SERAPHIM to give away.

Watch the LUNA chatroom and online list in May when it will feature SERAPHIM and a chat with moi. More on that later.

January 2, 2004 — My goodness was this last year short, or what? Time has certainly flown! In this past year I've sent my daughter off to college, watched my eighth grade son grow to my height (he's going to be a tall one!), have started some wonderful fantasy writing projects and for Xmas I got a new office with pretty bookshelves built by my hubby!

As for web site updates, I've finally added an excerpt for Seraphim. It is the prologue and about half of the first chapter. My publisher is very strict on the word count I can post, so I tried to cut the chapter off at a point that wasn't too frustrating for the reader. :-) I had hoped to post a pdf version of the excerpt but the Adobe Distiller program is proving more difficult to figure than I had thought.

Also, finally, got a name and title for Book #2 of the Luna series. It is to be called Gossamyr. A very faery name, and suits the heroine just fine. I think it'll look great on a book cover.

Now, keep your fingers crossed that 2004 ushers in a mermaid! (More on that one later.) :-)

December 5, 2003 — Yes, it's been a while since I've posted. Been busy working (at a Border's book store) and writing the second book in the LUNA trilogy. Each of the three books will have a title that is the heroine's name. So far, I haven't been able to pick a name for the second story that I like and that LUNA also likes. Wish me luck!

I got the cover flats for Seraphim and they are stunning. Very excited about its release, even though it is still five months away! I will try to post the first chapter sometime in December.

Did some MAJOR updates on the VampList. Check it out!

July 30, 2003 — Returned from the RWA national conference a few weeks ago. Very exhausting weekend! But learned a lot and got to visit my new publisher's office. Met my editor and agent. Got to see an "in-progress" cover for SERAPHIM. Very cool. Very Joan d'Arc look to it. Will put the cover on the SERAPHIM page as soon as I receive the final version. Updated a few VampList categories. Currently have plans to 'revamp' the front page of this web site. We'll see what comes of that!

June 10, 2003 — Updated the Seraphim page. Synopsis of the story added and a great quote from Lyda Morehouse!

May 10, 2003 — Added "News" page. Added "Dragon Sightings" page.

— Official announcement: I have recently sold 3 books to Harlequin's new fantasy line LUNA. The first is due out May 2004 and is titled SERAPHIM. Check out the SERAPHIM page for more information. I will post info on the second in the series as soon as my editor approves of what I want to do with that story!
