Naupaka (Hawaiian name) Looking towards the gulf side of the Keys on a blustery afternoon.  I find that the sea is often at it's most interesting during blustery weather.  I was just glad not to be out in a boat.  ;-)
 
Strange roots on a tree at the Royal Palm Visitor Center.  Isn't it interesting how the gnarled and intertwined roots on a tree can remind one of aging and our own inevitable mortality? tree trunk
