Why Can't I Find the .... Book Here?
- The BSA does NOT allow for some of their printed publications to be copied
and posted onto an electronic forum for distribution. These publications are
either available for retail sale from local offices (basic manuals and books) or
are restrictive in nature to those officeholders actually performing the role.
- I have chosen NOT to post here publications which cost more than $2.00. These
publications for the most part can be purchased from local Council offices. However,
when all possible, this library will contain OLDER versions of those publications.
An annotation reflecting this fact will be posted so that people are aware
that the publication is an older version.
- There are some items, for instance, the BSA's Drugs=A Dangerous Game booklet
which I will NOT post here because the Drug Abuse Prevention Task Force uses the
small fees charged for each booklet toward their expenses.
- Finally, I will NEVER be able to gather EVERY form, application and publication
from EVERY local Council as well as from National. I will try, however, to do so
and here's where YOUR help will be invaluable: If you have a form which you use
a lot, please scan and convert it to Adobe's (tm) Portable Document Format (pdf)
and send it to me. I will be happy to credit you with the find if you like and
will post it here as soon as I receive it and have time to update this page with the
information.
I will also forward a copy of the form, publication, or application to the U.S. Scouting Service Project's webmasters so that it can be included on their site.
