This is the first year we have had a contest among high school students to capture the best images of the Minnesota Military Expo. This page will show all of the entrants along with the winners.
Our thanks to Sergeant First Class Chris Farley and Sergeant Josh Tverberg of the 88th Regional Readiness Command's public affairs office, for their assistance and instruction provided to the high school students on Friday. With a combined 22 years of experience in photography, we are sure that the students attending their seminar on Friday's Expo Day really got a lot out of their presentations (and their antics!)
Our special thanks to Ken Plant and the team at the Army Recruiting and Marketing Office, Twin Cities, for the prizes and promotion of this event among the high schools.
In addition to our prizes, four of the best photos as determined by our judges will be sent as the 88th Regional Readiness Command's entries in the "Stringer or contributor" category in competition for the Brumsfield Army Reserve Public Affairs Competition, our version of the Emmy(R) and the Pulitzer Prize! We will post those four photos here as well!!
We waited until after Memorial Day for entries to be sent to us; we received one entry right away but we could not post the images until we had "cutlines" (captions) for the photos. We are showing the photos today; on Friday, 30 May, we will announce the winner (have to contact the winner first, you know, and get permission for their name to be posted here -- don't you love legalities?) and post the winning photo.
And here are the entrants!!

Good luck to all and thanks for entering our first annual photo contest!!
