The Amundson family


The Amundson and Olson families Paul's paternal ancestors. The Amundson family originally came from Norway and the Olsons came from Sweden.

	Charles and Anna Olson. Charlie Olson was born in Sweden on September 28, 1869 and emigrated to America in 1885 at the age of 16. Anna Olive Roos was born in Sweden on August 11, 1867 and diedin Watertown, Minnesota on August 1, 1943. Charlie and Anna were the parents of Eleanor, George, Dorothy, Edwin, Lawrence and Harry. All of the children except Eleanor and Harry died in childhood. Click photo to enlarge

	Eleanor Esther Olson, about age 5. Eleanor (Olson) Amundson was born February 4, 1894 and died April 23, 1990 at the age of 96. She is the mother of Dayton Wilber, Margie Ann and Gordon Atherton Amundson. Click photo to enlarge

	Edwin Amundson around 1940. Edwin Amundson was a letter carrier for the United States Post Office. His route was the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. Edwin was born in 1890 and died in 1954. Click photo to enlarge
