THE MEETING WILL BE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, AT RIVERWIND!!!

PRESIDENT'S CHATTER

WILL crash.  When was the last time you sent those in to be checked?  Servos and battery you can check yourself.  I send in the transmitter every two years. I change the receiver, and transmitter battery every two years.  I have had 3 receivers fail me this summer.  Each time they cost me a plane.  I don't know what more I could have done.  There was no sign that they were going out.  And DON'T forget the switch.  If they are the ones that came with the radio, they will not last long.  Two years at the most.  I use MPI switches with the charge jack built in.  No more ugly wires hanging out to recharge the battery.  Bottom line; spend some time checking and have things checked out.

That is all for this month.

Fly safely                                            AL the Prez.

The Electric Fly-In was a hit.  Some people from last year showed up and you could see their newest projects.  There were also some new people looking to get into the hobby.  Two new guys showed up to see what it is all about.  I have forgotten their last name, but their first name is Gary, so I will call them Gary and Gary.  Better then Darrell and Darrell.  It looks like they may get into electrics too.  They have been training with Stan.

When you see Dale and Tina please thank them.  They came out and provided the Sub sandwiches, pasta salad, and treats, all at no cost to the club.  Kevin donated the pop and water.  Because of this the club made $100.00.  Big Thanks to Dale and Tina and Kevin.  So when we have big events like this, I would like to see more people help out like this.  Bring 20 Hot dogs or brats, hamburgers, buns or chips.  If everyone donates a little, it will add up big time.

The end of the fly season is near.  Do you have plans for your next plane?  Kit built?  ARF?  Plans build?  Going to rebuild the crashed ones?  Or pull out the one in the rafters, and upgrade the radio?  What ever you do, think of your radio.  Not just the transmitter, but the receiver, battery and servos too.  If any ONE of those fail, you
