Cherokee Village, Arkansas

This is basically the back (street) side of the house. When we first pulled into the driveway, we weren't all that excited to get out and look. Not very inviting, is it? But, we did get out and look it over and it turns out that this is a nice house. Well built. Just doesn't have a heap of curb appeal. We thought about the garage and figured we could help that out.

The process begins. We decided early on to try to reuse what we could, like the siding etc.

Framing going in for the concrete work. This will be a 3 car garage, but because it is on a hill, we needed to be a little fancy. Keep an eye on this as we go on.

The pour begins....

Making it smooth...

Real smooth.

One down...

One to go.

Second pour done. Now the stick work can begin.

Looking different already. I wonder what it looks like from the street?

Can't see much change, yet.

Making progress.

Starting the roof.

Starting to look like something.

Dormers!

Hey! It IS a garage!

Roof on the garage, and on the house. Now it will all look the same!

Looking good!

From the street....

From the street....but doors on, siding on and driveway poured.

Oh, yeah. Above the garage is a huge walk-in closet, and the single stall is open to the ceiling. Might be able to do something interesting there...
